Short Overview

This property is located nearby piazza Corvetto, in the city centre area, not far from the train station of Genova Brignole in a retaining linear building, which delimits the public park Spianata dell’Acquasola to the north and its level drop.

It was designed by the architect Franco Albini in the 1950s, it is a building with two floors above ground (without a basement), the ground floor is intended for commercial use whilst on the first floor is the offices. The majority of shops of the ground floor belong to another owner, only the whole first floor and just one space of the ground floor are included in this portfolio. The spaces of the first floor are equipped witha a staircase located at the centre of the building and divides in two wings, east and west. The offices have been used until 2008 by the city police and the technical area of the municipality and are now free. The east wing is occupied by the Workers Recreative Welfare Centre (CRAL) of the municipality employees, which will be soon transferred to the ground floor. The west part of the building (ground and first floor) facing piazza Corvetto hosts the technical offices and the future entry of the new subway stop (Corvetto). The works are in progress. The perimeter is narrow and has a free shape, which is now parcelled out by light separation walls. The large openings facing the street make this space very well-lit, even if it faces north. The street is mainly intended for service sector activities, with commercial activities and many offices (included the IREN headquarters in front of this building).
